When perfumer Geza Schoen discovered Iso E Super in its pure state, he had a revelation: this molecule was the key ingredient in the perfumes he loved. Fascinated by its addictive effect, he began experimenting by integrating it in new concentrations.

One evening, Geza Schoen decided to experiment even further: before going out for a drink with a friend, he suggested that they wear only pure Iso E Super, without any other ingredients. As they sat down at the bar, a woman approached them to ask what perfume they were wearing. While talking to her, Schoen realized that her favorite fragrances all had one thing in common: a high concentration of Iso E Super. That's when he realized the unique potential of this molecule and decided to make it the heart of his own perfume brand.

Schoen then had the bold idea of ​​creating two fragrances: one with 65% Iso E Super, the other composed solely of this molecule. This bet, which he thought was reserved for a niche of insiders, turned into a phenomenon with the launch of Escentric Molecules in 2006.
